"Reframing Classical Music"
The New Brunswick Chamber Orchestra performs music that we think matters, whether it was written in the Middle Ages or sometime next year, in the heart of Old Europe or the new conservatories of East Asia.
Formed in 1960, the group has gradually evolved into a professional ensemble of 16 to 26 musicians that tackles some of the biggest assignments possible for chamber orchestras. We're as comfortable performing works such as Handel’s “Messiah” and Copland’s “Appalachian Spring” as we are with John Adams' "Shaker Loops" or Piazzolla's "Four Seasons". We really love working with composers, and at almost every performance, you can be guaranteed you'll hear something new.
Tickets $25, 18 and under $10
